ABOUT THE TRUST

Managing trustee is Shri S. Ramachandran Iyer. PRESTIGIOUS “SAMAJ SHAKTI AWARD WINNER” Mr. Iyer an ex-editorial staff of a vernacular daily published from Mumbai has been in the field of public relation over three decades. Prior founding “SRI SAI TRUST” in the year 2007, he was associated closely with “NASRUGI CHARITABLE TRUST” an NGO working for school dropouts for over seven years.

Our main objective is to empower children living in difficult situations through education and help them build a livelihood of their own.

SRI SAI TRUST is predominantly engaged in pre-primary and primary education.

Recently the trust collaborated with TATA INSTITIUTE OF SOCIAL SCIENCES in the project of COMMUNITY BASED REHABILTATION CENTRE for HANDICAPPED in entire KARJAT TALUK.

Purpose of application:

Seeking Funds to run Preprimary/ Primary/ Special School/ Classes to Underprivileged Urban/ Tribal/ Disabled children.

a) Karjat Taluka Raigad Dist. Maharashtra: Disabled & Tribal Children.

b) Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s N.ward & F/North ward:-underprivileged Slum children, Mumbai.

Target group:

For preprimary & primary Children Aged 3 to 15years.

Beneficiary of project:

Disabled, Tribal, Slum children.

Facilities to be provided:

Quality Education by Trained Teachers Educational Aids, Uniforms, & Noon meal.

Other activities:

1) Educational assistance to needy School & college students.
2) Women Self Help Groups in slum & Tribal Areas.
3) Senior Citizens Group.
4) Free Eye camps & medical assistance to poor & needy.
5) Free Tailoring Classes.
6) Free Computer Training & Placement to person with disability.
7) Free Nursing Aid courses to urban underprivileged.
8) Training & Placement in Tribal areas.

AT PRESENT WE ARE AID TO:-

32 BALWADIS:- 1500 children in F/North Ward Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation [BMC] schools, Will be extended to “N” ward BMC schools [1800 children in 53 balwadis]

8000 TRIBAL CHILDRENS :-at Duswadi , Jummapatti, Anandwadi, Walmiki nagar, Bisegaon, Gondge, Padwal gaon, Takechiwadi, Khirwali, Thamnath, Dharechiwadi, Kandas, Tungi, kalakrei, Pathraj and, Neral kanyashala of zilla parishad schools at Karjat Taluka.

MORE THAN 2000 DISABLED CHILDRENS in BMC Schools and Zilla Parishad Schools. of Karjat Taluka.

TUITION FEES to deserving students of schools/colleges.
